Vintage and arty L.A

*I couldn't resist these glitter heels hanging from a power line!*

There is another side to the glitz and glamour of tinseltown... there are streets that make you feel transported back to the 50s just like in the movies, a place called Little Ethiopia that I had never heard of and couldn't wait to come across, there are cool exhibitions at the city's modern museums... and if you look beyond the obvious you could be lucky and come across a pair of glittery heels hanging from a power line ;)

Here is my guide to some of L.A's vintage, cool and arty:

FAIRFAX
Here is where you will find some of the best vintage furniture shops such as TINI (This Is Not Ikea) and Vintage Treasures, going down the street you will come across Little Ethiopia, I heard that there are some delicious Ethiopian restaurants there but haven't had the time to try them out yet, that will be for next time! Nestled in the midst of Little Ethiopia is the famous Hansen's Cakes, haven't tried them either but I know this is the place where the Kardashian's like to customize their wedding cakes!

3rd STREET LOS ANGELES
The 3rd street i'm talking about is just on the border of Beverly Hills. Firstly it is home to the worldwide known Magnolia Bakery and just opposite you have Joan's on Third which is the perfect breakfast/ brunch place around. On 3rd you will also have a great shopping spree, jeweler Alexis Bittar is there and vintage/ retro store Polkadots and Moonbeams.
