2- Go to Magnolia bakery and devour as many cupcakes as I can!
3- Go to the Getty Museum
4- Have dinner at Katsuya in Brentwood
5- Start working on my bikini body on the Venice-Malibu boardwalk
6- Shop on Robertson & Rodeo followed by lunch at the Ivy
7- Walk around Santa Monica's Farmers Market
8- Have one of the best culinary experiences at The Bazaar restaurant
9- Sip a green tea boba at Urth Cafe
10- Ask my brother to teach me how to surf...again ;)

Are you Easter inspired yet?

With Easter coming up soon I started feeling inspired for the festivity! Since I was small, dyeing the eggs has always been a tradition, I always knew about using fruits and vegetables to naturally dye them but never tried it and in some of the pictures in this post you can see how using natural dye makes very beautiful and light colors.
On Friday we are off to L.A to visit my parents, it's been 1 1/2 years since I've been there and I seriously can't wait to go :)
Do you follow any particular traditions during Easter? What are your plans for this holiday?

Coup de coeur: Alexander Wang Prisma tote

I went shopping with a friend last week and came across the Alexander Wang Prisma tote... the bag and I looked at each other and in an instant, it was love at first sight ;) In this post you will find some fashionable ways on how to wear Alexander's IT bag as well as some of the different colors available.
Which color would you choose? I would go for the black leather one with the rose-gold metal corners.

ON ANOTHER NOTE
As I was telling you in my last post, last weekend we went to Kuala Lumpur for the Grand Prix and as much as I wanted to take a lot of fashionable paddock pictures, the unstable weather conditions didn't allow me to do so, instead, as I was walking around i bumped into someone I really wasn't expecting to see... do you recognize him?!! ...

...Yes! It's Owen Wilson ;)

Alice in Chanel land

Chanel has finally revealed its new Boy bag campaign, but who is Karl's new muse featuring a half shaved head and a punk/rock look?
Well, it's no other than model, IT girl, thrush metal drummer and socialite Alice Dellal, sister of one of my favorite shoe designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal.
Her recent campaigns include those of Ermanno Scervino and Marc by Marc Jacobs and she has made the cover of magazines such as i-D, Vogue Brazil and L'officiel. Love or hate the style? I personally I think she is the definition of cool and punk chic, I cannot wait to see more of her rock n roll looks in the fashion world... Bravo Karl on your new campaign!

A very Mediterranean recipe

When I eat squid salad I feel transported back to the sunny mediterranean and here for you is my recipe of squid and potato salad with a drizzle of citrus, parsley and garlic dressing.

Ingredients:
Portion for 2 people (all measurements are to taste, you might want more/less potatoes or tomatoes in your salad) :
500g potatoes
170g cherry tomatoes
2 large squids
For the dressing:
1 or 2 cloves of garlic (to taste)
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of black peppercorns
2 squeezed limes or lemons (to taste)
1 bunch of parsley
Olive oil

Recipe
1-In a large pan boil the potatoes with their skin on until cooked. When ready, drain, peel, cut in small cubes and leave to cool.
2- Bring some water to boil and add a few peppercorns and salt, add the cleaned whole squids and boil for 20 minutes. Turn the heat off and leave to rest about 15 minutes in the hot water (if you want them very tender leave them to cool completely in the water). When cooled cut into rings and set aside.
3-When the squid and potatoes are cooled, cut the cherry tomatoes and mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

The dressing:
The base of this dressing is just like the pesto one which you can find here. I use a mortar and pestle.
1- Start by grinding the garlic cloves with a pinch of salt in the mortar until a creamy like texture is formed. Add a few peppercorns (or normal black pepper).
2- Add the parsley and continue grinding. When the parsley will have formed a green essence, mix in the squeezed lime or lemon juice and olive oil.
3- Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
4- Add the dressing to the squid, potatoes and tomatoes mixture... Et VoilĂ ! Enjoy!

Givenchy Pandora bag

Whilst queuing at H&M's event last week, I couldn't help but notice the craze for Givenchy's Pandora bag. I think it's one of those bags that will remain an iconic piece from the brand (just like the nightingale one). If I had to choose a color? It would have to be the crinkle leather dark emerald one. Which color would you pick?
