Exotic smoothie with Tapioca Pearls

The Tapioca Pearl drinks are conquering the world, I haven't seen much of these in Europe yet (except for London and Paris) but every time I go to L.A it is a must for me to stop at Urth Cafe for breakfast to drink my green tea Boba (Tapioca).
Needless to say that here in Asia everyone goes crazy for these little pearls that taste like less sweet gummy bears and they tend to be found in many ice-tea based drinks, smoothies and desserts.

Here is my own Tapioca Pearl drink : Mango smoothie with a dash of Passion Fruit and a sprinkle of Japanese Matcha Green Tea powder

... and you thought getting your 5 a day was not so delicious ;)

Recipe:

*Cook the Tapioca Pearls for about 15mins in boiling water then turn the heat off, cover and leave to rest for another 15mins

*Drain the pearls and rinse under cold water, subsequently add some sugar syrup or honey and sweeten to taste ( I use Lyle's Golden Syrup)

*Blend the Mango and a little ice in a food processor until smooth

*Place the pearls in the bottom of the glass and add the mango smoothie

*Add the Passion Fruit and mix with a spoon

*Sprinkle some Japanese Matcha Green Tea powder

Et VoilĂ ! Enjoy ;)

Buzz of the day: second Versace for H&M collection out in January!

It seems like last week's frenzy wasn't enough for the Maison Versace.
The second Versace for H&M collection will be out in mid- January and the buzz is that it will only come out in countries which have the H&M online shopping site :( hopefully that's just a rumor... or should we start booking our flights to Sweden??!!

Take a bite of my pizza!

I have already made pizza at home however I used to buy the ready made dough where I simply added my toppings . This time I was in the mood for a change, and as time passes I like to make as much homemade food as I can. So here it is... my very first pizza dough :)
I made 2 of my favorite pizzas: 1 with buffalo mozzarella and parma ham and the second one with normal mozzarella, cooked ham and mushrooms .

TIPS:
1- When using buffalo mozzarella make sure you drain it well before cooking or it will soak your dough

2- Add the fresh parma ham and basil just before serving, do not cook it in the oven

3- Most italian recipes use fresh beer yeast however it is very hard to find this ingredient in Singapore, dry yeast is just as good

Dough Recipe:

Do you have any favorite pizza? :)

Dare Versace :)

Isn't Versace also about daring? Well, I thought that for the H&M collaboration collection there wasn't a more " Versace statement" jacket than this one... how could I resist!

The fringe statement

*Isabel Marant*

The statement boots of the year. They are in almost every boutique we enter, in almost all kind of shapes and colors... after years of wearing Minnetonka's it's time to put the spotlight on the newcomer of the season: The fringe boots. My favorite ones are from Isabel Marant (above picture) but other brands like Zara and DVF have done very nice ones too and if you are shy to shake around your big fringes, you can opt for the Louboutin and YSL more discreet ones;)

What do you think about this trend? which are your favorite fringe boots?

Trying on the Versace for H&M collection

*I'm wearing an H&M dress (summer collection), Versace for H&M leather jacket and bag*

Last week the H&M team in Singapore was very kind to let me take a sneak peak at one of the most attended fashion event of the year: the Versace for H&M collection.
Colors, prints, studs, gold and leather rule it all and just by looking at it you can see that the collection came straight out of Donatella's atelier.
I immediately fell in love with the studded leather jacket (which I am wearing in the pictures) and it will certainly be my first buy amongst others. The men's collection is also superb and I just loved the details on the shirts collars (see 9th picture below).

Bloggers and fashionistas save the date and shop till you drop! :

When? November 17th @ 8am
Where?  H&M store on Orchard road (Singapore)

Check out the full collection on http://www.hm.com/sg/versace#home

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck's restaurant CUT is a must when I go to L.A, and now that it opened in Singapore I can only be the happiest person in town!!
After a lovely dinner at his restaurant, I decided to take my McQueen clutch for a little window shopping around Marina Bay Sands :)
