Only a 2 hour boat ride from Singapore and here you are on a paradise island surrounded by fine white sand beaches and emerald waters... A perfect weekend getaway!

 The tropical island also has a unique jungle which is home to one of the largest spiders (the Golden Orb Spider) and also many species of lizards, mangrove snakes and fruit bats. It is a luxury eco friendly island so nature lovers this is the place to go!

We were very lucky as we got to see the turtles hatching and that was simply spectacular! Here are some pictures I took during this weekend :)

A fairytale setting for a magical collection...

The blend of pastel, candy and snow white colors is what charmed me as soon as I scrolled through the show's pictures. Last week I posted on the rising trend of the panty short and I am so happy to see them in this collection too... I could go on and on talking about this show and how by the end of it I felt like slipping into an embroidered collar dress and getting ready for a candy themed tea party, but I guess it's better to leave you to my top picks in pictures ;)

Apple Crumble

As I impatiently wait to see the YSL, Chanel, Mc Queen, Miu Miu and LV shows during Paris Fashion week, I decided to bake an apple crumble! I didn't really follow a recipe for this one as I believe it really goes to each ones taste... 
The basic ingredients for the crumble are butter, flour, caster sugar, Muscovado sugar, cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg. I sometimes add a few blackberries to the apples to give it a little twist. 
Top with a spoon of warm custard or a scoop of vanilla ice cream...
