I'm always in the mood for coconut, whether it is to eat, drink, wear as perfume or used in beauty products.
The other day whilst I was having a 'way too healthy' breakfast (see here), I decided I would use the breakfast props and indulge in some DIY beauty therapy! This recipe would probably have sounded even more delicious if I had used sugar instead of salt (for the scrub effect) but Epsom salts have great benefits on the skin.
1/2 cup coconut shavings
1 cup Epsom salt
1 large lime
*In a bowl mix the Epsom salt and coconut shavings
*Add a splash of lime juice and its zest followed by the coconut oil
*Adjust the ingredients till you have reached the consistency desired
This actually looks good enough to eat!!!! Love the idea of a homemade scrub & I'm sure it smells heavenly when you're applying it.ReplyDelete
Have a fabulous weekend ME xoxo
I love coconut as well. My sister is good about making homemade skinscare and scrubs like this, and this one seems quite easy, so I will have to try it out. Coconut is so good for you, my family has used it for decades! Great DIY, thanks so much for sharing.ReplyDelete
