Isabel Marant pour H&M - Shopping time!
For those who follow me on Instagram (Click here to view), you might have seen that yesterday was one of those: wake up at the crack of dawn to shop H&M's designer collaboration day!!!
I've been shopping H&M's designer collections since I was a student in London 10 years ago (eeeeek), when Karl Lagerfeld launched the whole frenzy, followed by Stella McCartney,Victor & Rolf etc. Since then it has become my yearly appointment and this year was no exception.
The fringe booties were on my radar since I knew about their existence, and I think you can imagine my excitement when I got my hands on a size 38 yesterday morning, however when I tried them I thought they weren't so comfy so I decided to make someone else's day ;)
Did you manage to shop any items of the Isabel Marant pour H&M collection?

Greek style dim sum
You might be wondering what a greek style dim sum is... Well, it's my take on a traditional Greek Tiropita and Spanakopita (cheese and spinach pie) simply shaping the phyllo pastry into a dim sum shape (I live in Asia after all)! I also used different ingredients to a traditional Greek cheese & spinach pie, and swapped spinach for my new favorite superfood: Kale. Now that I think of it, the only greek ingredient that remains in this recipe is the feta!!!
It's a super simple, quick and delicious recipe and it makes a perfect light bite when entertaining at home.

Homemade coconut & lime body scrub
I'm always in the mood for coconut, whether it is to eat, drink, wear as perfume or used in beauty products.
The other day whilst I was having a 'way too healthy' breakfast (see here), I decided I would use the breakfast props and indulge in some DIY beauty therapy! This recipe would probably have sounded even more delicious if I had used sugar instead of salt (for the scrub effect) but Epsom salts have great benefits on the skin.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup coconut shavings
1 cup Epsom salt
1 large lime
Coconut oil
Method:
*In a bowl mix the Epsom salt and coconut shavings
*Add a splash of lime juice and its zest followed by the coconut oil
*Adjust the ingredients till you have reached the consistency desired

Keeping up with the tartan craze!
1
I don't think any fashionista is missing out on this trend right now and I'm definitely loving it!
For those who dare, mix and match different plaid and tartan colors & textures (picture 5) and for those who want to be in style but don't dare the total look, just add a touch of patterns to your daily outfit. I like the total tartan & plaid look, you can see my inspiration board in picture 2.

Hallowcakes - Vanilla Matcha Halloween cupcakes
Hallowcakes are my version of halloween cupcakes!
I used a basic vanilla sponge recipe and Magnolia Bakery's creamy buttercream for the icing, except that on half of the batch of cupcakes I added some Matcha green tea to the buttercream for an extra halloween touch!
For Magnolia Bakery's creamy vanilla buttercream recipe click here
Happy Halloween!!!
