The return of the jars!

1

Do you remember my post (here) about my weakness for all those lovely cupcakes, cakes and pies baked and served in jars? Well, I came across yet another 'jar trend' which I can't wait to experiment with this summer and that's serving lemonades and cocktails in those cute little jars. For an even more vintage look add striped straws and serve in a wooden crate.

How do you feel about drinking you lemonade or Mojito in a jar?

...and if you are already a 'drink in a jar pro' try out embellishing simple glass bottles like these ones:

  24. I love to embrace new and trendy things but this is one thing that I will have to pass. It reminds me of way gone days in my youth that we canned tons of tomatoes in these jars...ugh!!!

  29. This is the cutest post ever! I'm addicted to old jars/glasses. That pink lemonade (or punch... something that looks darn nice anyway) with all the little bottles and straws is adorable. Wishing I had it in my backyard for a party!

  33. We share the same passion/obsession lovely - I too have a love for most things in jars. I actually first fell in love with the idea through seeing lots of drinks and cocktails in jars!! THEN found things that were baked in them, so we have developed our passions the opposite ways :) Love these pics for inspiration.

  34. I remember that post about cake in a jar! Its what first initially inspired me to invest in mason jars! I love the idea of using them as serving glasses as well as using them to make my own jams and jelly, and also for cocktails on the beach. Just mix your cocktails ahead of time, seal the jar with the lid, and carry them to the beach! Thanks for igniting my desire to purchase a set!
