A fashionista's guide to West Hollywood

*Shopping on Melrose*

Here we are back in Singapore after an amazing holiday in LA with the family. In the next few posts I will create a travel guide with some of my favorite hotspots in lala land.
Today I will start with West Hollywood; if you are not so familiar with this city, when you hear Hollywood you might think of a movie star, the walk of fame, the Hollywood sign or the Kodak Theatre but don't be fooled, there is much more to this ;)

MELROSE
Melrose Place and Melrose Avenue. Melrose Place is a beautiful and chic street just off Melrose Avenue where you will find boutiques such as Chloe and Oscar de la Renta as well as the famous Fig&Olive restaurant.
You then have Melrose Avenue which has a wider variety of shops, from DVF, Marc Jacobs and Herve Leger to vintage stores and also more alternative ones. Shopping aside, you can have breakfast at Pain Quotidien (where I spotted Jessica Alba and family - picture below) or Urth Cafe, and for the art lovers you will find lovely fine art galleries, one of my favorites being Hamilton-Selway.

ROBERTSON BOULEVARD
This is another cool shopping and dining street. Here you will find shops like Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Kitson and Tory Burch. As a fashionista you must go to LF stores, here you are sure to find the latest Jeffrey Campbell's :) Of course if you are on Robertson you have to try the Ivy Restaurant for lunch but there is also another delicious restaurant just off Robertson on Beverly Boulevard called Madeo, this is seriously one of the best Italian restaurants in L.A.

*We literally bumped into Jessica Alba + family outside Pain Quotidien and I managed to take this picture*
