My journey

*Louis Vuitton Journeys*

I'm off for a week of relaxation with Max! First we will be going a couple of days in Langkawi (a tropical island in Malaysia), then we will end our journey on the white sandy beaches of Koh Lipe in Thailand. It's our first time in both islands so when we get back I can assure you there will be many pictures to share but for now my fellow bloggers, its time to turn off iPad's, Blackberrys and Macs ( I already know thats gonna be a tough one) until next week ;)

I feel like brogues will never go out of fashion, they have been around for years and are still a must have in everyone's shoedrobe. Here are my latest ones and also some pics of my favorite ones including some past collections... what better than a little animal print to spice up your day:)

Halloween spooky dessert: Meringue Ghosts

Here is a little fun recipe i decided to try this weekend for the upcoming halloween festivities: The Meringue Ghosts. Simply make the meringue by whisking 4/5 egg whites until foamy then add about 1/2 tsp of cream of tartar (or salt) and when the mixture forms stiff peaks add 200g of extra fine sugar, continue whisking until no sugar granules can be felt in the meringue. Form ghost shapes using a piping bag and bake in the oven at 100 C for about 1 hour. For the eyes I used chocolate chips and decorating gel.

Weekend!

It's almost the weekend and what a better way to celebrate it than to invite some friends over for a nice home cooked meal (to start with ;) ... As I am in this mood for festivity I was gathering some table decoration ideas and came across some particularities which I never really paid attention to in the past: the place cards. I often find these quite plain and uninspiring but if you put some creativity into them they can be just perfect to complete your festive table :)

 Have a nice weekend!

The pirate lacquer

Lately i've been wearing Chanel's Peridot and Blue Boy quite often so for my adventurous weekend on Nikoi Island I thought there was no better nail polish to wear than OPI's Pirates of the Caribbean Planks a lot :)
