I'm French so of course I love cheese! Out of them all, I have to admit my weakness for goat cheese... It reminds me of those days when I accompanied my parents wine and cheese tasting in the region of Sancerre, we would stop by this farm which produced the one and only Crottin de Chavignol cheese and since then it has always been on top of my favorite cheeses list!
It's been a while since I had a salty tart so last weekend I got inspired by this recipe and made some goat cheese and red onion tartlets. The only modification I made to the recipe was that I added a dash of sherry vinegar instead of balsamic vinegar when cooking the onions and instead of adding a drizzle of olive oil on the cooked tartlet I brushed some honey on top of the cheese before baking the tarts in the oven. It's a really easy recipe to make and extremely delicious!!
Enjoy!
yum looks amazing!
