When I was young I remember my great- grandmother perfuming herself and her house with lavender cologne and since then it has been one of my favorite scent.
I love using lavender in all of its forms; from shower gels, hand washes & hand creams to food & homemade beauty products, and when I go back to the south of France I pick up my own lavender from the garden to make sachets that perfume my wardrobe (will make a post on this in in the months to come when I am back in France!). In the meantime here is my inspiration post on lavender:
Do you like the scent of lavender?

ReplyDeleteI love the look of lavender sprigs, more that the scent of it, and on my way to my son's school I cross "fields" - they're not really fields, per se - of lavender that look just gorgeous in the ealy morning light, all dewey and fresh!!! I think I'm gonna pick some today...

The main color for my bathroom is lavender. Mr. A hates that color, but I think it is so pretty! It must be a girl thing.

Gorgeous photographs!!!! I love lavender!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE the scent of Lavender. My grandmother used to make satchets and stash them into the wardrobes to keep insect away and give a nice scent to the clothes. I love using lotions, gels, and even my detergent and deodorant is lavender scented. When I get a massage I usually go for the lavender scent as it is sooo relaxing. I put a few drops of lavender oil in boiling water to make the house smell heavenly! I can truly go on and on how much I love this scent. It definitely calms and soothes!

What b-e-a-utiful photos of such a beautiful flower .. Lavender rips me RIGHT back to my childhood days, my mum was Lavenders biggest fan so we had it in the gardens and in the house! In fact it was how I got my first bee bite, playing too close to the lavender bushes in Summer (the bees love it!) I put a few drops of Lavender oil on my pillow if I am having trouble sleeping :)

ReplyDeleteAwww.. It's so funny that your rabbit feels threatened by the carrot toy. Hiro is loving it, he munches on it all day and then hug it to sleep.

Lavender satchels for wardrobes and dresser drawers are classic and timeless and make a great housewarming gift. I've had cookies and breads with hints of lavender but never cocktails, I'll have to try them soon!
